Almost every Louisiana recipe begins with the same iconic phrase: “First, you make a roux.” A roux (“roo”) is a slow-cooked blend of flour and fat—light, medium, or dark—that forms the flavorful base of countless Cajun and Creole dishes.
Inspired by the beauty of a well-made roux, our Roux Cutting Board features rich stripes of Cherry, Maple, and Walnut, echoing the warm, layered colors of Louisiana cooking tradition. Each board is handcrafted in New Orleans with smooth edges, a sturdy 1.5″ thickness, and a surface perfect for chopping, slicing, or serving.
Whether you’re prepping gumbo ingredients or building a charcuterie spread, this board brings both artistry and heritage to your kitchen. Pick your favorite “roux” pattern, and we’ll deliver the perfect one for you.

Keep Your Hobi Global In Great Condition
Don’t let your love die! Our boards are extra special and will stay with you always, as long as you give them a bit of care. The goal of board oil and conditioner is to saturate the wood fibers, in order to stop any other liquids (blood, bacteria) and moisture from soaking into the board. A well-oiled cutting board will not warp and will keep its shape.
